The Keepsake Collection

Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all keepsake jewelry and related products purchased through The Keepsake Collection by Monadnock Perinatal, LLC (“Monadnock Perinatal,” “The Keepsake Collection,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

By placing an order with The Keepsake Collection, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following Terms and Conditions.

Orders & Acceptance

Submitting an order does not create a binding agreement until your order has been accepted by Monadnock Perinatal, LLC and payment has been successfully processed.

Once payment has been received and your order has been confirmed, a binding agreement for the creation of your keepsake piece is established.

We reserve the right to decline, cancel, or refund an order when necessary, including but not limited to circumstances involving:

  • Payment authorization issues

  • Incorrect pricing or website information

  • Product or setting availability

  • Shipping restrictions

  • Quality concerns with a jewelry setting or material

  • An inability to safely or appropriately complete the requested keepsake

  • Circumstances outside of our reasonable control

If we cancel an order before production for reasons originating with The Keepsake Collection, any applicable payment made toward the affected item will be refunded.

Pricing & Payment

All prices displayed through The Keepsake Collection are listed in U.S. Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated.

Applicable shipping costs, upgrades, customization charges, taxes, or other fees will be displayed during checkout when applicable.

Full payment is generally required before keepsake processing or jewelry production begins unless another arrangement has been specifically authorized by Monadnock Perinatal, LLC.

Keepsake Processing & Turnaround Times

Every keepsake piece is individually created by hand. Turnaround times are estimates and may vary depending on order volume, jewelry availability, customization, curing requirements, holidays, supply delays, and the complexity of your selected piece.

Processing time begins after we have received your keepsake inclusion and all information required to complete your order.

Most keepsake jewelry may require approximately 6–8 weeks for completion after your inclusion is received.

Rings and other highly customized pieces may require up to 12 weeks or longer, particularly when a setting must be individually ordered in a specific size, metal, finish, or design.

These timelines are estimates and are not guaranteed unless a specific expedited service has been purchased and expressly states otherwise.

Please remember that your jewelry is being individually preserved, poured, finished, inspected, and assembled rather than mass produced. We appreciate your patience while your keepsake is created with care.

Handmade Keepsake Jewelry

Every piece created through The Keepsake Collection is handmade and completely unique.

Small variations and imperfections are a natural part of handcrafted keepsake jewelry and are not necessarily considered defects.

Your finished piece may include slight variations such as:

  • Tiny air bubbles

  • Small surface variations

  • Differences in stone shape or edging

  • Variations in placement of flakes, shimmer, flowers, hair, or other inclusions

  • Natural variations in color

  • Small visible milk proteins or specks

  • Slight differences between your finished piece and website photographs

Website and promotional photographs are examples of previously created jewelry. They should be considered representations of the overall design and not guarantees that your finished keepsake will look identical.

No two keepsakes are exactly alike.

Breastmilk Color & Natural Variation

Every person's breastmilk is unique.

Breastmilk naturally varies in color, opacity, fat content, density, and composition. These differences may remain visible after preservation and may affect the final color and appearance of your keepsake.

A finished breastmilk stone may appear:

  • Bright white

  • Ivory

  • Cream

  • Warm white

  • Slightly translucent

  • Speckled or naturally textured

These variations are normal and are part of what makes your keepsake personal to your individual feeding journey.

We cannot guarantee a perfectly white stone or an exact match to photographs shown on our website or social media.

Resin & Natural Aging

Your preserved inclusion is incorporated into jewelry-grade resin.

Although we take steps to carefully preserve your keepsake, all resin can naturally change with time and exposure to ultraviolet light, heat, chemicals, moisture, and environmental conditions.

Over time, a resin keepsake may develop a warmer or creamier appearance. Minor changes associated with the natural aging of resin are not considered manufacturing defects.

Proper jewelry care is essential for maintaining the appearance of your keepsake.

Sterling Silver, Gold & Plated Jewelry

Unless specifically identified as solid gold, many pieces offered through The Keepsake Collection are created from solid 925 sterling silver with an optional plated finish.

The natural color of 925 sterling silver is silver.

Gold-plated and rose-gold-plated sterling silver pieces will naturally experience wear over time. Depending on frequency of wear, skin chemistry, moisture, chemicals, and jewelry care, the plating may gradually fade and reveal the sterling silver underneath.

This is a normal characteristic of plated jewelry and is not considered a manufacturing defect.

White-gold or rhodium-style plating may retain its appearance longer than some other plated finishes, but no plated finish should be considered permanent.

Customers seeking a gold-colored piece that will not eventually reveal sterling silver should select a solid gold option, when available.

Jewelry Care

Keepsake jewelry should be treated as sentimental fine jewelry rather than jewelry intended for continuous wear.

To protect your piece, we recommend removing your keepsake jewelry before:

  • Showering

  • Bathing

  • Swimming

  • Exercising

  • Sleeping

  • Cleaning

  • Gardening

  • Applying lotions or oils

  • Applying perfume, hairspray, or cosmetics

  • Using cleaning products or chemicals

Avoid prolonged exposure to water, heat, direct sunlight, chemicals, lotions, perfumes, and abrasive products.

Improper care may damage the resin, metal, plating, setting, or inclusions and may void any applicable repair or replacement consideration.

Returns & Refunds

Because every keepsake piece is custom-created using your personal inclusion, all keepsake jewelry sales are final.

We do not accept returns or provide refunds based on:

  • Natural handmade variations

  • Breastmilk color differences

  • Resin color variations

  • Small bubbles or specks

  • Placement of decorative inclusions

  • Slight differences from website photographs

  • Natural wear of plated jewelry

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Changes resulting from improper jewelry care

By ordering handcrafted keepsake jewelry, you acknowledge and accept that your finished piece will be uniquely yours and will not be identical to another customer's jewelry.

Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Orders

Each piece is inspected before packaging and shipment.

If you receive an item that is damaged upon arrival, defective beyond normal handmade variation, or different from the item you ordered, please contact Monadnock Perinatal, LLC within five business days of delivery.

Please include photographs and a description of the concern.

If we determine that the issue is the result of a manufacturing defect or an error made by The Keepsake Collection, we will work with you toward an appropriate resolution, which may include repair or replacement.

The original jewelry may need to be returned to us before a repair or replacement can be completed.

Damage resulting from improper care, accidents, misuse, normal wear, plating wear, or other circumstances unrelated to workmanship is not considered a manufacturing defect.

Order Cancellations

Because keepsake jewelry requires advance materials, administrative preparation, preservation supplies, and potentially custom-ordered jewelry settings, cancellation availability depends on the stage of your order.

Before we receive your keepsake inclusion:
Orders may generally be cancelled; however, a $20 cancellation fee may be deducted to cover administrative time, materials, and any keepsake collection or shipping supplies already provided.

After we receive your inclusion but before preservation is complete:
If cancellation is still possible, a $40 cancellation fee may apply to cover preservation materials, labor, administrative costs, and any deposits or nonrefundable jewelry components already ordered.

After preservation has been completed or jewelry production has begun:
Orders may no longer be cancelled or refunded.

Some custom jewelry settings are ordered specifically for an individual customer and cannot be returned to our supplier.

Changes to an Existing Order

If you need to make a change after placing your order, please contact The Keepsake Collection as soon as possible.

Changes are not guaranteed and depend upon the stage of preservation and production.

If your requested change can be accommodated, an order-change fee of $10 may apply in addition to any difference in price for the newly selected item, size, metal, finish, inclusion, or customization.

Rings may be subject to additional fees because settings may be individually ordered according to ring size, style, metal, and finish.

If a custom ring setting or other individualized component has already been ordered, changes may not be possible.

When an approved change results in a more expensive product, the customer is responsible for the difference in cost.

Keepsake Preservation

We use preservation methods intended to stabilize breastmilk before incorporating it into resin jewelry.

While every effort is made to preserve your inclusion appropriately, keepsake jewelry contains natural materials and handcrafted resin and therefore cannot be guaranteed to remain visually unchanged indefinitely.

Environmental exposure, UV light, heat, chemicals, wear, and improper care can affect the appearance and longevity of your piece.

One-Year Craftsmanship Consideration

If, within one year of receiving your completed keepsake, the integrity of the keepsake stone or jewelry becomes compromised beyond what would reasonably be considered normal wear, natural resin aging, plating wear, or handmade variation, please contact us.

We may request photographs and/or require the jewelry to be returned for inspection.

If we determine that the issue resulted from workmanship rather than improper care, accidental damage, normal wear, or environmental exposure, Monadnock Perinatal, LLC may offer a repair, replacement, or store credit at our discretion.

This does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Tarnishing

  • Gradual loss of plating

  • Scratches

  • Accidental damage

  • Lost jewelry

  • Broken chains resulting from pulling or misuse

  • Damage from water, chemicals, heat, or improper storage

  • Natural resin aging

  • Damage resulting from failure to follow jewelry-care recommendations

Keepsake Inclusions

Customers are responsible for properly packaging and shipping their keepsake materials according to the instructions provided by Monadnock Perinatal, LLC.

Depending upon the piece selected, accepted inclusions may include breastmilk and other keepsake materials specifically approved by The Keepsake Collection.

Please do not send irreplaceable quantities of any inclusion.

Only send the amount requested in our shipping instructions.

Although every reasonable effort is made to safely handle and preserve submitted materials, customers acknowledge that shipping and working with biological, organic, sentimental, or irreplaceable materials carries inherent risk.

Shipping Your Keepsake to Us

Customers are responsible for following the current Keepsake Collection shipping instructions when sending breastmilk or other inclusions.

Failure to properly package, label, or ship an inclusion may result in delays or an inability to use the material.

Monadnock Perinatal, LLC is not responsible for packages lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, or destroyed while being transported to us by a third-party shipping carrier.

For this reason, customers should never send their entire remaining supply of an irreplaceable inclusion.

Shipping Completed Jewelry

Once completed, jewelry will be shipped to the address provided with your order unless another arrangement has been approved.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that their shipping address is complete and accurate.

Once a package has been transferred to the shipping carrier, delivery timelines and carrier delays are outside of our direct control.

Additional charges may apply if an order must be reshipped because an incorrect address was provided.

International Orders

Customers outside of the United States are responsible for determining whether their keepsake inclusion may legally and safely be shipped to Monadnock Perinatal, LLC.

International customers may be responsible for:

  • Shipping costs

  • Customs requirements

  • Import duties

  • Taxes

  • Brokerage charges

  • Other fees imposed by their country

All prices are listed in U.S. Dollars unless otherwise stated.

International customers should understand that customs processing may extend delivery times.

Photographs & Product Examples

Images displayed on our website and social media represent previously completed pieces and are intended to demonstrate jewelry styles and available options.

Because each keepsake is created individually using natural materials, your finished jewelry will have its own coloring, texture, placement, and characteristics.

Purchasing a particular design does not guarantee that your keepsake will appear identical to photographs of another customer's piece.

Reviews & Customer Communication

By purchasing from The Keepsake Collection, you may receive communications relating to your order, including order updates, shipping information, care instructions, or requests for feedback regarding your experience.

You may also be invited to leave a review after your order has been completed.
