Lactation Education 101

Start your breastfeeding journey off feeling educated and full of confidence with Lactation Education 101. This class will inform you of the ins and outs of breastfeeding, from how milk is made to what to do with a painful latch. Successful journeys are nurtured with support from spouses, partners or additional caregivers, we encourage their attendance to better support your breastfeeding journey.

Lactation Education 101 Includes:

  • Human Breast Anatomy

  • Self Care, hydration and caloric intake.

  • Newborn cues, distinguishing early and late cues?

  • Common feeding positions with demonstrations.

  • The newborn latch.

  • Common supplies & preparation.

  • Pumping and flange fitting.

  • Proper milk storage

  • Discussing common barriers or challenges and solutions.

  • Handouts and Resources given at the end of the class.

Time is given at the end of the class to discuss any questions or concerns related to breastfeeding/pumping.

Investment: $125 private/$100 group(per family)

Location: Class takes place either in office or virtually for ease and convenience.

Time: Evening class (Thursday) are from 6-8pm

Physiological Birth Class

Start your birthing journey off feeling educated and full of confidence with “Physiological Birth Class”. This class will inform you of the ins and outs of a physiological birth, starting with stages and phases of labor and ending with how to care for your newborn. Successful birth journeys are nurtured with support from spouses, partners or other caregivers, we encourage their attendance. You will receive a printed student handbook with additional handouts. This course covers births in the home, freestanding birth center and hospital settings.

Physiological Birth Class Includes:

  • Preparing your mind and body

  • The stages & phases of labour

  • Breathing techniques for labour

  • Making Informed Choices

  • Building Birth Confidence

  • Birth and Postpartum Planning

  • What to expect postpartum

  • Infant feeding

  • Newborn Care

  • Discussing common barriers or challenges and solutions.

  • Complete handbook, additional handouts and resources given at the end of the class.

Time is given at the end of each class to discuss any questions or concerns.

Investment: $250 private/$200 group(per family of 2)

Location: 415 Marlboro Street, Keene NH 03431

Time: One day classes (Saturday) are from 8:30am-5:30pm

Virtual classes (Tuesdays) are from 6 -8:30pm

Newborn Care 101

Your baby is going to be here before you know it!

Are you prepared for the first hours/days and weeks to come? Have you mastered how to give you baby a bath? Cut those razor sharp nails? Fasten a diaper and have it stay on? What about snuggling your baby in that beautiful swaddle set you had to have!?

Newborn Care 101 is a class for those looking to gain the confidence they need to follow through with the tasks your newborn baby requires.

Class Includes:

  • What is the “Golden Hour”

  • What is the importance of “Skin to Skin”

  • How to get a good first latch if breastfeeding

  • How to prepare a bottle safely if formula feeding

  • How to distinguish hunger cues

  • How to change a diaper - disposable and cloth

  • How to give the first bath(s) - cradle cap/ cutting nails

  • How to swaddle your baby

  • Handouts and additional questions/concerns will be answered at the end of the class.

Investment: $125private/$100 group(per family of 2)

Location: Class takes place either in office or virtually for ease and convenience.

Time: Newborn Care 101 Class generally runs 2 hours.

Cloth Diapering 101

Cloth Diapering does not have to be all or nothing! Some chose to use cloth part time while others chose full time. There is no right or wrong way to start your journey.

Choosing an eco-friendly and reusable system can cut down diaper costs as well as offset your carbon footprint. Cloth diapers can be used for multiple children and tend to hold a decent resale value. Understanding and establishing a system and routine can take some time and there is no shame in asking for guidance.

Cloth Diapering 101 is a class offered to educate those looking to cloth diaper but not sure where to start.

Class includes.

  • Types of cloth diapers

  • Fabrics and textiles

  • Building a stash

  • Washing/Drying

  • Diaper storage

  • Creams and additional accessories

  • Handouts given at the end of the class.

Investment: $50 private 1:1 class

Location: Class takes place either in office or virtually for ease and convenience.

Time: Cloth Diapering 101 last generally 1hr.

Babywearing

Are you brand new to wearing? Maybe needing assistance with a fit check? Look no further!

Follow in the footsteps of generation before us as we gain knowledge needed to properly babywear. Having the ability to access both hands in modern day parenting is a must have.

Babywearing Consultation Includes:

  • Carrier type(s) & history

  • Application to body

  • Welcoming baby into carrier

  • Removal of baby from carrier

Fit Checks Include:

  • Application to body

  • Assessment of application with corrections if needed

Investment: Consultation $30-$60/ Fit Check $20

Location: Class takes place either in office or virtually for ease and convenience.

Time: Consultations vary between 30-60mins. Fit Checks are 15 mins
