Lactation Education 101

Lactation 101 is the perfect class for new and expectant parents who want to feel prepared and confident about breastfeeding. In this class, you'll learn everything you need to know to get off to a successful start, from latch techniques to understanding your baby’s feeding cues. You'll gain insight into common challenges, such as nipple pain, engorgement, and low milk supply, and learn practical solutions to overcome them. With expert guidance and a focus on building a strong foundation, Lactation 101 will help you navigate the early days of breastfeeding with confidence, ensuring a smoother, more positive experience for both you and your baby.

Lactation Education 101 Includes:

  • Human Breast Anatomy

  • Self Care, hydration and caloric intake.

  • Newborn cues, distinguishing early and late cues?

  • Common feeding positions with demonstrations.

  • The newborn latch.

  • Common supplies & preparation.

  • Pumping and flange fitting.

  • Proper milk storage

  • Discussing common barriers or challenges and solutions.

  • Handouts and Resources given at the end of the class.

Time is given at the end of the class to discuss any questions or concerns related to breastfeeding/pumping.

Investment: $125 private/$100 group(per family)

Physiological Birth Class

Physiological Birth Class is an essential part of preparing for a confident, informed, and empowering birth experience. Whether you’re a first-time parent or looking to refresh your knowledge, these classes provide you with practical tools, techniques, and information about labor, delivery, and postpartum care. You’ll learn about your options for pain relief, comfort measures, breathing exercises, and how to advocate for yourself during labor. By understanding the stages of childbirth and the role of your birth team, you’ll feel more in control and less anxious as your due date approaches. With a mix of expert guidance and hands-on practice, childbirth education classes help you build confidence in your body’s abilities and prepare mentally, emotionally, and physically for the journey ahead.

Caring for your Newborn

You'll also get tips on recognizing your baby's cues, establishing a healthy feeding routine, and understanding newborn development. With hands-on demonstrations and expert guidance, you’ll walk away feeling more prepared to meet your baby's needs and navigate the early days of parenthood with ease and confidence. Whether it's your first child or a refresher, this class is the perfect way to gain the knowledge and skills to care for your newborn with comfort and assurance.

  • What is the importance of “Skin to Skin”

  • How to get a good first latch if breastfeeding

  • How to prepare a bottle safely if formula feeding

  • How to distinguish hunger cues

  • How to change a diaper - disposable and cloth

  • How to swaddle your baby

Cloth Diapering 101

Cloth Diaper 101 is the perfect class for parents interested in exploring the eco-friendly, cost-effective benefits of cloth diapering. This class will walk you through the basics—from choosing the right cloth diapers for your baby to learning how to properly wash, store, and care for them. You'll discover the different types of cloth diapers available, how to troubleshoot leaks, and tips on making the transition from disposables as smooth as possible. Whether you're new to cloth diapering or just looking to brush up on your skills, this class offers practical, hands-on advice to make cloth diapering easier and more manageable. With expert guidance, you'll feel confident and ready to provide your baby with a natural, sustainable diapering option.

Babywearing

A babywearing consultation is the perfect way to discover the benefits of wearing your baby while ensuring both comfort and safety for you and your little one. Whether you're new to babywearing or looking to refine your technique, a personalized consultation helps you find the right carrier for your body type and your baby’s needs. You'll learn how to properly use and adjust various types of carriers, from wraps and slings to structured carriers, so that both you and your baby feel supported and secure. With expert guidance, you’ll gain confidence in your babywearing journey, making it easier to keep your baby close while enjoying hands-free mobility, bonding, and a sense of connection throughout the day.

Babywearing Consultation Includes:

  • Carrier type(s) & history

  • Application to body

  • Welcoming baby into carrier

  • Removal of baby from carrier

Fit Checks Include:

  • Application to body

  • Assessment of application with corrections if needed

Investment: Consultation $30-$60/ Fit Check $20

Time: Consultations vary between 30-60mins. Fit Checks are 15 mins

Comfort Measures in Labor Class

Prepare for a more confident and empowered birth experience with our Comfort Measures in Labor Class. This class is designed to teach expectant parents a variety of techniques to manage pain and discomfort during labor.

Our experienced instructor will guide you and your support person through hands-on practice, ensuring you feel prepared and supported when the big day arrives. Whether you’re planning a medicated or unmedicated birth, home or hospital birth these comfort measures will help you navigate labor with greater ease.

  • Hydrotherapy

  • Other natural coping strategies.

VBAC Preparation Class

Led by experienced instructors, we provide a supportive space to ask questions, address concerns, and gain confidence in your birth choices. Breastfeeding twins comes with unique challenges and rewards, and our Breastfeeding Your Twins is here to help you feel confident and prepared. Led by an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and twin mom, this class covers essential topics such as establishing a strong milk supply, tandem and individual feeding positions, proper latch techniques, pumping strategies, and managing common breastfeeding challenges. You’ll also learn tips for creating a feeding schedule, self-care strategies, and where to find ongoing support. Whether you’re expecting twins or already navigating breastfeeding, this class provides expert guidance and practical tools for a successful breastfeeding journey.
