Ashley is a lactation professional who holds the credential of International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She completed more than 110 hours of lactation-specific education, college-level coursework, over 500 supervised clinical hours, and successfully passed a comprehensive board examination. She also participates in ongoing continuing education, with focused training in feeding multiples, low milk supply, oral rehabilitation, and the assessment of oral restrictions.
Ashley’s personal breastfeeding journey began in 2017 with the birth of her daughter and continued with the birth of her son in 2019. In the spring of 2023, she went on to tandem nurse her identical twins. Across each experience, Ashley encountered and overcame a wide range of breastfeeding challenges, deepening both her empathy and clinical insight.

Under federal guidelines, visits with an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) are generally intended to be covered by health insurance plans without cost-sharing such as deductibles, copays, or coinsurance.
However, in practice, coverage is not always straightforward.
Additional details and important information are outlined below.
Insurance Coverage
Coverage through TLN for the following plans: Anthem PPO, BCBS PPO, United Healthcare PPO & HMO, VA CCN, some Aetna Plans .
Coverage through wildflower for the following plans: Cigna
Coverage trough United Healthcare and Aetna will be billed as an IN-NETWORK provider
For those currently on NH/MA/VT Medicaid or receiving WIC benefits discounted services available

-Prenatal consults last around 60 mins.
-This consult is for expecting families, weather it’s the first pregnancy or your 5th. We encourage booking in the 32-37 week range.
Consultations cover the following:
Assessment of your general health history related to breastfeeding and any past breastfeeding journeys if applicable.
Review your breastfeeding goals and realistic expectations.
Discuss general lactation education and its relation to your planned feeding journey.
How to navigate the first latch in the “golden hour” and first days postpartum.
Notes from this appointment will be sent to you via email along with any handouts.
**We encourage booking a follow up consultation once you are settled after your home birth or return from your hospital say to assess and encourage the best start to your journey.

-This consult is to establish care as a first time client.
-Clients will be sent an intake packet prior to appointment with instructions for capturing pertinent information.
Appointments cover the following:
Assessment of your general concerns related to breastfeeding, pumping, bottle-feeding.
Detailed intake of your medical history for you and your baby.
Assessment of baby’s oral anatomy.
Observe a feeding either at breast, with a bottle. (Observe pumping session).
Assessment of baby's function at while at the breast or while feeding with bottle.
Hands on assistance with breastfeeding, bottle feeding or pumping.
Assistance with flange fitting and breast pump set up.
Care plan with detailed notes from visit.
Handouts, Referrals and schedule follow up if needed.
Email/Text support post visit.

Reassessment of intake of medical history for you and your baby.
Reassessment of your general concerns related to breastfeeding, pumping, bottle-feeding.

Reassessment of milk supply issues.
Care plan with detailed notes from visit.
Handouts, Referrals and schedule follow up if needed.
