What is Placenta Encapsulation?

How does the process work? Are there benefits?

Placenta Encapsulation is a process in which the placenta is transported, inspected, cleaned, steamed and prepared. It is then dehydrated, ground into a powder and placed into capsules for consumption by the placentas birthing person.

Apart from actually encapsulating the placenta; some specialists offer additional ways to consume placenta products and pieces of art to display and remember. Additional products that can be consumed include tinctures, chocolates and smoothie cubes. Additional display pieces/art pieces include placenta cord keepsakes and prints.

Each specialist has their own specific package offerings as well as a style that they call their own. I find beauty in natural placenta prints without adding color or additional decorative pieces, but I do offer all natural coloring for placenta prints as well as dipping cord keepsakes in paint for those who do not prefer the natural color.
